What ALERT is
ALERT — Academy For Leadership and Emergency Response Training — is a Lebanese non-profit, non-political initiative in crisis preparedness. Through immersive simulations, expert-led sessions and inter-institutional partnerships, ALERT trains citizens, municipalities and responders capable of navigating uncertainty, coordinating with public institutions and contributing to community resilience. *

Legal status
Registration and governance
ALERT currently operates as an initiative. The governance structure below is the one set out in the statute filed with the Ministry, and takes effect once registration is issued.
Registration
ALERT has been submitted as a non-governmental organisation to the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, and registration is currently in process. Until it is issued, ALERT operates as an initiative. Intellectual property protection has been secured at national level.
General Assembly
All active members. It meets annually, elects the Administrative Board by secret ballot, reviews the budget and closing accounts, and may amend the statute.
Administrative Board
Elected by secret ballot, meets monthly, and appoints a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and accountant.
